Just a bit of a bump, this thread is about a year old. Talked to the lad's old man a few days ago online - as I've since moved to the midwest. Galaga is still going strong and center in the collection but the kid has tackled his own defender restore from an auction grab (twas a Yi Ar Kung Fu in a defender cab painted black), he's nugging away on a pac-man and there may or may not be another cab on the way for Christmas. I won't spoil anything in case he lurks this board. Just wanted to post an update as this was a project that seems to have had a bit of a lasting impact and it still brings a christmasy type style to my face. Just glad to have been a part of it. |
