Best gun for playing lightgun games in groovyarcade groovymame (LINUX)

I have an aimtrak gun and i'm unable to get it working in linux groovymame. I have`nt found proper instructions on installing and setting up this tool. It looks too messy anayway.

I was thinking of acquiring an alternative. Anyone can tell me about his  experience with wii remote thecnology based devices? May be a PC light gun is easier to set up?

I use a CRT scart TV. So this might be the good news with old-style lightguns?
