CRT Emudriver in AMD APU? (sorry if has been asked before)

i checked the Toshiba14AF43 manual online to see if i could find the answer but it's still a bit unclear
( https://www.manualslib.com/manual/172109/Toshiba-20af43.html?page=9#manual )
..but from everything i've looked at i would suspect that your component input is interlaced only unfortunately.
Also, are you in the UK? ..because if so, i could simply give you a different tv (for free). They come up on Gumtree Freebies all the time in my area, plus i have a couple of spare CRT tv's at my house right now. (i'm in Bristol/Bath area). They are only scart though, not component, but you could sell the transcoder and get a scart cable instead

Wow, certainly appreciate the offer but unfortunately I am west coast US. But that is extremely kind of you :)
the thing is, I can't even seem to get a 480i signal into the TV, the most I can get is scrolling static still. So this leaves me to believe I have either done something wrong in the process (which is likely though I have gone through and tried it over fresh several times now), or there is something wrong in the hardware end of the setup. Perhaps the APU doesn't work, perhaps the transcoder is bunk, maybe I need to find another component cable to test with. Too many variables and they all cost money!

really wish i could help, but like you say there are so many factors in this, it's hard to pinpoint the issue...
All i can really do at this stage is to say what i personally would do next, and unfortunately it would be to get a tv with rgb scart input, and also get the previously mentioned scart cable, because that's what worked for me.
Wish i could offer better help but it's a tricky one
Osirus23:
I setup a GroovyMAME cab with Windows 10 and a HD4550 (meaning mame64.exe has to run as Admin), as well as flashing the card with ATOM-15. There are only two instances when the screen is still out of sync using this setup:
1) During the Windows loading screen, the one with the Windows logo and the spinning white dots on startup. (This is NOT a UEFI system). The POST screen before it is fine.
2) Upon exiting MAME back to the desktop, the screen rolls out of sync for about 3-4 seconds before being stable again.
Is this behavior normal?

Is this behavior normal?

i hope so, because it happens to me aswell
i've never seen it as a problem tbh
....as long as i can choose games from the list, play the games, and then go back to the list and select another game, then i'm happy.
Whatever's happening outside of that, doesn't bother me
(If it was more than 3 or 4 seconds, it would bother me though)
