Zoo Keeper Having issue with GroovyMAME .178/.177 and HyperSpin
« on: November 10, 2016, 10:02:21 am »
System: Win7 64
GroovyMAME .177/.178
HyperSpin: 1.4

When running Zoo Keeper outside of HyperSpin with GroovyMAME .177 or .178 it plays just fine. When running it through HyperSpin it appears ok at first, but after the nag screen the image folds in half and then plays in the background behind HyperSpin and I can hear slowed down/distorted audio playing from the game. Is there a setting that I might be able to adjust to get this to play correctly? All other games in my setup are playing correctly. Zoo Keeper uses a 256px resolution, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I have tried other versions of GroovyMAME with HyperSpin with a similar result. Running GroovyMAME .171 does work but then I get some blocky/double line/distorted video with wavyness when screens scroll in games.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Zookeeper changing resolutions so this is probably problem. Try other game from this driver or any other game that is changing resolution like Shienryu.

Also, CPS2 game Mars Matrix just doesn't launch.

Is there a known fix for this?

Zookeeper is now working with .180.

Elevator Action and CPS2 games are not working through Hyperspin, but I can live with that for now as I run a CPS2 multi PCB.

I don't think I generated a new mame.ini file for GroovyMAME, so maybe I should.
