I'm amazed they can afford it.  When they initially acquired the license back in the early 90's, stock car racing was desperate for cash.  Sure they are hitting a bit of a slump now, but I've got to think it would cost significantly more.

My 2 cents.  They are doing another sonic racing game and Daytona speedway is one of the courses, just like they added an outrun course in the last one.

That would be pretty cool, I think S0L mentioned in an interview I read awhile back that they'd originally planned to something like that in Sonic Transformed, but didn't in the end for some reason. If they do make another Daytona arcade game I hope they keep it as an arcade style racer and aren't tempted to go down the realistic sim route.

"Reloaded" makes me think it would be fairly true to the original, maybe even a remake with the same tracks.
I can see them incorporating an online leaderboard and "earned" digital livery as is today's custom.

I'd like to them incorporate some really "Way out there" tracks. Like the Advanced track in Daytona 2. Or maybe put in the tracks from the Dreamcast version.

Edit: A good point that I've just seen someone else make over on my Scud Race Facebook page is that if Sega have got the Daytona license back, they ought to make a proper port of Daytona USA 2 whilst they're at it as well.The version in Supermodel is more-or-less 99% arcade perfect now, but it's still crucially missing any multi-player functionality. If Sega could do a home port with both a local split-screen and online functions (like sonic Transformed) it would be awesome.

Pretty cool except for the fact I haven't been to arcades in years and there is only really 1 left in my city and its pretty crap so doubt ill ever get to even play this

I was a little surprised at only 8 player multiplayer too, Daytona 2 had 16

Also not sure why its not just called Daytona USA 3 or such lol

Please.  If it's PC-based somebody will have it upped and cracked within a year.  It's a shame that this is the only way I get to enjoy arcade games anymore.
