Hi

I will redo my xbox racing cab, and I will use my PS3 with a logitech driving force GT wheel.

I was planning to used my PS button to boot the PS3 with my wheel, but it doesn,t work... it work with the PS button from a gamepad, but not from the wheel.

Any Idea? I don't want to go into the cab to boot the PS3 and I don't want to have a game pad lying around only to boot it...

Boomslang I'd be keen to hear about that.

Redketchup - if the function isn't there it isn't there. I have a third-party usb board for PS3 with a PS button, and while the button works in-game, it won't start the system. I'm not sure what's missing, but I doubt it would be an easy fix. If I had to fix it, I'd chop up a PS3 controller and put bits of it inside the wheel, assuming there's room.

Lazy fix is to just keep a ps3 controller nearby.

This idea is out there, but maybe a door lock actuator positioned so it presses the power button.
You could use a weaker voltage or springs to keep it from hitting the button too hard.

Get a cheap ps3 contoller, open it up, figure out the voltage on the battery, wire it up to a wall wart. Solder a couple wires to the home button ontacts, solder the other end to any kind of button and mount it where you want it. Done.

Yup.  You can get ps3 knock-off gamepads for around 3 bucks on eBay and foreign sites.

Then use an official one.

I already try with a dualshock3, but there is almost no room for soldering cable...
