Spy Hunter 2, Space Encounters Yokes... what to do?
« on: October 28, 2016, 04:45:10 pm »
So I've had a Spyhunter 2 yoke sitting around since 2005 and a Space Encounters machine with yoke  sitting around almost as long. Both Yokes only turn about 45* left/right. The Space Encounters has push pull.

I have a few questions.

1. I'm guessing I could get the Spyhunter 2 yoke working for Spyhunter 1 (and 2.. shrug). Anyone have any ideas what else I could use them for?

Spyhunter 2 has a reflective sensor. Not sure about the Space Encounters.

2. It's been so long since I've been out of this, I don't have any clue what the best board for this type of control would be.

Thoughts?

A-PAC or U-HID Nano FTW from http://www.ultimarc.com/

I would try to mount a potentiometer for these limited movement wheels.

A-pac. Hah hah. Well at least some things haven't changed in 10 years.  ;D

As for the pot... what would the value of that be? To adjust sensitivity on the fly or something?
