I don't usually venture into the console subforum, but I didn't see this already posted.

He does some comparisons of the hardware with the CD add-ons that were on the market during that time period, which I found interesting.
I'll go ahead and ruin the ending for you. He fixes it, but has no CD software to test on it.
The guy says there might be some discs up in the attic where the prototype was found.
Really? You've travelled the world with this thing, but haven't taken the time to see if you had any of the discs for it? $:-\$

The father and son don't seem to be very versed in video game stuff.... I mean the dad had the thing for years and didn't even bother to get it checked out until his son was on a forum and saw an article about the mythical beast.

It gets weirder btw..... Some homebrew people have already made a game for it? Even though there isn't any software and the hardware has just been fixed??

The bios was leaked a little while back. I guess they somehow coded around that. I don't know.

Yeah I understood that part. How could one claim that it's a working game though? The only way to make sure is to try it on an actual console and since the console wasn't available.....

I have no clue. I would love to own that machine though. No telling what it will bring in an auction.

Well Ben did an update video. Apparently the thing is still not working. They believe that the laser is burnt out so Ben says that next time he has access to the machine (the idgits already took it away from him) he'll try to cobble it back to working shape with a replacement he found online.

Seriously these owners need to loosen the leash a bit... the thing is virtually worthless until it's repaired and I'm pretty sure Ben Heck isn't going to steal it. I noticed in the previous videos that kid was literally looking over his shoulder most of the time.

I'm sure would still bring a fortune even if not working.

Not sure if rumors or documented somewhere, but I read 200 were made and later ordered to be destroyed.
This is the only known survivor.

They just don't seem all that interested in it.
I would have emptied my entire attic looking for discs/accessories upon learning it was worth something.

Heck couldn't design his way out of a paper bag, but he knows his stuff on the electronics end anyway. If you want someone to break something, looking over their shoulder while they are working on it is a good way to do it.

Ran into him at a MAKER Faire once. I said hi Ben, he blow past me. Less of a fan after that.

Yeah, his designs could use some work. I've watched a couple of his videos and wasn't exactly blown away by his trouble shooting, but hey, he's famous and probably better at everything in every way than me.

Well I have the problem where everybody I've ever met in my entire life seems to remember me, but they say hi and I don't have a clue who I'm talking to. So I try to avoid conversation as much as possible.
