Ok time to build the worlds LARGEST PINBALL MACHINE!
Just kidding, thats just a piece of plywood in the shop that happened to be in the shape of a pinball cab.
To note: This is a "BETA" build. Im putting this together so I can get exact plans and measurements for Haruman to cut me one out of melamine with a CNC.
This cab probably wont turn out super nice but it'll be a GREAT proof of concept.
So here is my rough "looks like a 4th grader drew em" sketch:
(those are interior dimensions BTW, example width says 13" but with the 2 1/2" sides its 14" wide)
Build the box with a $6 piece of pine:
Finish it up, and put in the trunk to take back to my house:
Start breaking down the computer/case and cutting ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- up with tin snips and a dremel:
test fitting components:
Customize the power supply:
Drilled 2 holes, ran wires through, taped the wires in a few layers of electrical tape, put a bunch of layers of tape on the side I cut
Drillin holes n stuffs:
Moar holes:
Things I spent money on:
Power Supply: $88 (Had to replace the old 250W and get a real one to push a real video card)
IPAC2: $48 (Existing IPAC2 was borked)
Wood: $6
Plexi Glass: $10
Solenoids: $35
SainSmart: $23
-----------------------------
TOTAL: $210
Value of things I didnt spend any money on:
Computer : $200
SSD: $60
VideoCard: $50
BG LCD Screen: $25
PF LCD Screen: $125
Buttons: $10
----------------------------
TOTAL: $470
This is only here to give someone wanting to build one a better idea of over all costs (about $680 give or take)
