Richard Cheese is awesome , their "Shake it Fast" cover is down right amazing.

Hey, thanks for the heads up Houston finally got on there.  I had a feeling it was going to be House of Blues.

Vouchers appear to be worth $69.50 each.  If the tickets are "$25" the fees bring it up to $34.75, which means you can get two tickets with one voucher.

Going through all the bands but I've already used one voucher on Stephen Marley.

So earlier this spring I picked up an untested UniSystem board for dirt cheap. When I got it, I plugged in my CPU and PPU and tested it and found that it pretty much worked, except for one annoying glitch where when you hit the B button, it would keep repeating the action or completely ignore input from that button and affect gameplay until the machine was restarted, only to happen the next time the button was pushed.

Obviously that was unacceptable, so I put the board aside. Flash Forward to earlier this summer, where I got a Castlevania daughterboard and wanted to have a dedicated Castlevania set up. So I downloaded the UniSystem schematics, checked out the board, and found that a resistor array that somebody had changed out was the wrong one. I also found a couple spots where they had done some repairs and lifted some traces. So I ordered what I needed from Digikey.

I got the parts today, went through and changed some stuff up, socketed some chips, and redid some traces... fired it up, and boom! A perfectly working Nintendo UniSystem board. Man, I love figuring stuff out. This hobby has taught me so much.

Got a new pinball coming my way... well, new to me.  This will be my 2nd pin, and my first modern (not EM) pin.

Some random person at work who knows I like retro stuff dropped off three pages from a game catalog from 1988. I still don't know who it was, but I will thank them once I find out.

In the meantime. I found nice $5 frames and put them in them. What's cool is when I show people I can take them off the wall and look at the back of them which also has cool stuff on both sides of the page.

If you look closely you will see a mail in rebate needs to be postmarked by a certain date in 1988. Cool!
