DOSBox in MA

I would like to run DOSBox and DOS pc games within MA.  Can any of you explain how to do this.  I have a DOSBox folder in MA, and in that folder I have a roms folder and a snaps folder.  DOSBox shows up in MA, and I can see the screen shots and titles for each DOS game.  But, when I hit the enter key or the fire button, DOSBox pops up for a second, then nothing but a black screen.  I can hit the escape key and go back to MA.
