Mr-Megalo:
Howdy Chaps and Chapesses,

I just got me a Dreamcast JAMMA device similar to the MGCD thingymabob so I can use DC and pay for credits through the coin mech etc. All seems to be well, but in the manual it says that pins 27, 28, E and F (the bottom 4 grounds) have to be disconnected as they are reserved for buttons 6&7 for 1p and 2p, so my question is this, does this mean i have to bastardize my control panel wiring and edge connector wiring to accomodate this ? I've heard of a similar device for the PSOne/PS2 but again its non standard jamma, but I cant find anything online about either of em or any wiring changes.

My cab is a CPS2 6 button street fighter setup (top 3 buttons jamma buttons 1,2 and 3, bottom 3 buttons connected to CPS wiring loom for kicks 1,2 and 3) this is the reason I never use a Neo MVS kit on my cab and from what I understand Im gonna have to make some

Pretty much all games which use more buttons than standard Jamma have to do this...so I don't see it as strange to do it for the DC/Jamma setup.  I forget, but doesn't JAMMA+ support more than 3 buttons per player?

I'm guessing your concern is keeping the cab original because you still use the original game inside it?  Can't you just hookup a special wiring harness for the extra buttons to the DC/Jamma connector?  Like maybe interface both through a standard molex connector so you can easily switch back the forth?

MrPoPo:
Hi !!

I have a question about this Dreamcast to JAMMA converter
The Dreamcast outputs a 640x480 interlaced resolution and normally it flickers on a 15KHz arcade monitor.
If you are using this type of monitors, can you tell me how fine is the image on it ??
I have a Dreamcast connected to my arcade monitor using an RGB cable and it flickers.

(sorry for the intermission and my poor english)

There are a couple older capcom fighting games which are interlaced games (they flicker).  But its only a couple games that do this.  If you are connected to an arcade monitor (through a hacked VGA box or hacked scart cable, then it will look exactly the same as through this DC/Jamma box.
