Howard_Casto:
not arcade machine.... It's arcade cabinet, at least, as it pertains to the thing you put pcbs in.  Yes even the plastic and metal ones are arcade cabinets.

Actually I've never heard the term arcade machine used except from "normals" who don't quite know what to call a game.  You call it by the title... ie "I picked up a Tron today."  If you just picked up the pcb you say "I picked up a Tron pcb" or "I picked up a Tron board"

Also spelling out the abbreviations doesn't really define the term.  Chances are if you know what a cathode ray tube is you know how it is abbreviated as well.

crt = cathode ray tube (old fashioned "tube" monitor)
lcd = liquid crystal display (new flat panel monitor)

I'm not exactly sure who this glossary is meant for though..... anyone that is on this forum probably knows them already.
vwalbridge:
Thanks Malenko! Couple of the ones you added I was not totally sure on.

Sure, we can all use google to look up terms but I find it more useful to get the actual definition from the enthusiast themselves. Also, if figured there would also be some more tongue-and-cheek terms as well.  :)
