Mala does not recognize any roms

Gotprops:
I am trying to get Mala setup for my arcade, but it will not recognize any of the MAME roms. When I run through the setup and it attempts to create the rom list it always returns no roms found. I have the rom path set properly and am able to run the roms from MAME and from another front end I tried.

 I am using a Windows XP 64 bit, Mala 1.74, and MAME .172.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
