Vertical sync problem?
« on: April 08, 2016, 12:49:42 pm »
Hey,

I have a problem with the vertical sync that I didn't have before I did an update to 2.0. The "sweetspot" for the vertical sync seems to be soooo tight I have to redial it each time I start the cabinet.
Is it possible to change something in the modelines/presets (I'm on pstar25) to solve this?

Best,

Olli

Anyone? Rolling screen gets sometimes to the point it will barely sync. Starting games like mk will need redial. I didn't have that problem on version 1.

You probably have to change the vertical sync polarity in your Polostar preset.

Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

Since I don't want to destroy anything or make it even worse, could you point me in the right direction? It would be appreciated.

Create a custom preset based on the polostar one, then change the polarity values (0 is negative, 1 is positive):
