So a couple of weeks ago, I picked up a Two-Slot Neo Geo. This thing is a big heavy beast of a cab! My apologies for not having any up to date pics of it on this PC, but here she is when I picked her up. Despite the two game flyers in the marquee being King of Fighters and Magical Drop 2, it had just a Bust-A-Move Again cart inside it. So I bought a 161 in 1 cart to put inside it after being sniped on 20 or so eBay auctions. My plan for this restore is to recap and get a new flyback for the monitor as it needs some adjusting. Then paint the sides and front the proper red, and either stencil the white lettering or get a sticker set for it. Does anyone have any color recommendations for the color of red to use? I will also being cleaning up the CPO a little bit to see if I can salvage it. Any recommendations for this project? |

I used Gloss Apple Red from Home depot on my neo. I do suggest white tmolding. Stpcore has the files to cut the lettering out for the sides. Sure you already know this, but that doesnt look like a factory NeoGeo cab, marquee is all wrong. |

It looks like a generic Jamma cabinet. The joker is huge and heavy as all get out! My Simpsons Cabinet was lighter and smaller than this thing! I found the Neo Geo kit paper work inside of it when I finally got the backdoor off of this beast of a cab. However, it is close enough in my opinion to pass, especially once I paint it red. |
