How do we get out of threads?
« on: March 28, 2016, 11:39:44 am »
When I click "new replies" I get notifications for the cheesecake thread cause I posted in there like 5 years ago, and the project thread. How do I make it so they don't show up in new replies?
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.

If you're logged in and you view a thread to which you've "subscribed", there should be an "Unnotify" button next to the reply in the row of buttons below the thread, just click it.

Does that work for you?

I just tried and it seemed to work for me.

You can also open your profile, click modify profile and select notifications.

From there, you can see all the threads to which you'll get notifications and also control how threads will automatically notify you.

It's not threads that we've subscribed to, just threads we've replied to.

Report your original post from that thread to a mod with a request explaining you want it deleted to avoid notifications.

That's how I got myself out of the dead celebs thread.

Glad to hear that worked for you, Token.   ;D

Want me to delete your cheesecake thread post, Malenko?

need one of these in the restore section  >:D
OK.

Would you like your four posts from the current image thread broken out into a separate thread in the Restorations forum?

Then you're just treating the symptoms, and I post a *lot* in the image thread so the fix would be short lived. If its not possible, then its not possible, no biggie. Never hurts to ask and all that jazz.

It's easily doable if you don't mind changing which thread you use when posting your images.

By moving those four posts into a "Malenko's Images" thread in Restoration, it would give you a separate thread for posting your new images so the original image thread wouldn't show up in your "new replies" list.

LMK if you want to do it that way.

Yep, the old "ignore thread" option we've needed forever.  It'd be nice to see the dead celebrity, post your photos here, and cheesecake threads disappear off my radar.

Oh well.

Not sure why it worked for Token, but not for you.   :dizzy:

Just in case, I removed the link to your deleted cheesecake post from earlier in this thread.   :dunno

We know that, but other forums have ways to deal with stuff.

Is there a way to ignore threads on KLOV?
