Annapurna base camp

Locke141:
Been a super busy few months. Insured, moved to Nepal, got a new teaching job outside of my subject area's, have been little overwhelmed learning on the job, and have a two-year-old son at home.

But today was the last day before spring brake, mother in-law is here to watch the baby,  and the wife and I are going tracking. Annapurna is the 8th tallest mounting in the world so we will only be going to the basecamp at 4,130m.

I'll update with some photos after the trip.
Locke141:
It was an amazing trip here's some pick from 4130 meters.

The peek in the first one is just under 7,000M but has never been summited. In fact so many people have died trying that the government has declared it a holy site and no longer permits people to try.

The peek that my wife is looking at in the second photo it the 8th tallest in the world and is 8,091  meters above sea level. That's only a few hundred meters shorter then everest (8,848 meters).

Wow, beautiful.  Thanks for sharing.

I am in awe looking at the pictures.  I can barely imagine how awesome it is in person.
