Maximus Arcade "reset" back to defaults?
« on: March 24, 2016, 03:56:18 pm »
So this afternoon I powered down my arcade PC so I could install some new buttons in my X-arcade Tankstick. Normal power down, no big deal.

I got my buttons done, plugged the controller back in, and powered up Windows as normal. However, when I started Maximus Arcade back up, it gave me a message that it couldn't find roms for any of the systems. I closes MA down and went into the MA preferences menu. Turns out, everything has gone back to default setting, as if I just installed MA for the first time. Very frustrating. Any reason this would have happened?

I have MA, and all my roms and emulators, on a 1TB external hard drive connected to my PC. Hard drive seems completely unaffected and all my files are still on it.

Same thing just happened to me.  For some reason Maximus preferences are set back to default.  All of the favorites files and such are still in the preferences folder, but maximus is not loading them.  Is there a fix that will "re-point" the program to the preferences folder? Anyone?
