Hi there!

Still working on my first upright plans and hoping for some input. This upright has wife-approval for a permanent spot in the living room. As such, I would like the monitor to have an upward angle for standing/playing, and a straight vertical or downward angle for sitting and typing. So, I am planning to have the hinge above the monitor+bezel, so the speaker panel will stay put, but the bottom will swing backward.

The CP will be 35-38 inches where the keyboard will be down around 29 inches for sitting.

So, the question is an open 'how do i do this'? I like the idea of something that can be simply pushed into place using a hinge and a window 'stay'. Maybe something like this will work? https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.flap-stay-duo.1000508670.html

or this?

In a worst case, maybe i can just use a latch, or a magnet to hold the bottom in place, since only two positions would really be needed. I'll include a screenshot below of the draft plans.

Second question: is this a bad idea to have the monitor swing away from the glass? i.e. when sitting, will the upward angled glass cause a glare or viewing issue when sitting?

Thanks in advance for your input!

FYI, the TV is this: LC-32LB370U http://www.sharpusa.com/ForHome/HomeEntertainment/LCDTV/Models/LC32LB370U.aspx, and the screenshot of my plans are attached!

DIMENSIONS/WEIGHT (INCHES/LBS.)

Excluding stand weight: 10.7 lb. (4.9 kg)

Thanks again!
D.
