Raspberry Pi 3
Grasshopper:
Anyone considering buying a new Raspberry Pi in the near future, might want to hold off for a bit, as it looks like a new version is just round the corner:

I have no interest in Bluetooth, and only a slight interest in WiFi. However, the faster 64bit processor does looks very interesting.

Yes. I'm very interested. If I can get a decent front end for mame to work on it, it could prove somewhat lucrative for me this summer. Has anyone successfully used a decent mame front end on a Pi? I'd love to see specs, etc. I'm not normally a dev-board dude, but these intrigue me.

Meh, it'll be hampered by the same problems the other ones have. Namely, the Pi community is full of abrasive shitlords and the device doesn't do anything better than an old computer.

nitrogen_widget has gotten Attract mode to run on the PI.

I just ordered a R-pi model B V3 to my mother-in-laws house to bring here in Nepal in two weeks.

Hahaha. I'm not looking for a vPin setup. I'm running full mame, including Killer Instinct 1 and 2 using an old Pentium 4 with 1GB of ram on 32-bit XP. That's really all I would need it for.
But the comment gave me a chuckle.
