Has anyone tried playing 2spicy using their wiimote? If so would like to see what settings you folks are using in touchmote and in Teknoparrot? Can you kindly share?
Also @argonlefou i am curious if you will work on Supermodel3 (Sega Model 3 Emulator) in the near future? Would also be great if you can look in to PCSX2, would love to play Time Crisis 2 & 3 using Demulshooter some day.

In Supermodel3, the guns work natively as well as Mame, and on PCSX2 there is a topic teaching how to configure.

You already have all the information you need to get those two systems working without Demulshooter - So what are you struggling with?

2Spicy can be done with wiimote, just the same as every other game using TP and Demulshooter, nothing special just set up the keys you want in both programmes-or is there a specific problem you are having?

PCSX2 is a tad more difficult. Mode 4 appears to only give 1 player-that link you were given is exactly the same link I followed (after a lot of work, and trial and error, I have got slightly forward with P2 but nowhere near ready to share as not accurate) the other methods for PCSX2 you already know about from another website (I am making sure not to name it as I got my previous post quite rightly removed for naming it) and if you want two player go with Mode 2 as explained there.

In regards to cursors not a clue as I don't use them-However if player one moves the mouse cursor, could you change that into a target?-Info for that can be found with Google, I cannot remember if the mouse cursors moves at all as mine is always hidden in game, and for player 2 no idea. There has been stuff in forums about Demul having built in crosshairs but I have never got it working myself.

Hi, how are you?  I am new to the forum but I have been following you for a long time.  I just bought my second aimtrak and I am trying to run some games and I am not able.

Haunted museum 2 (Taito)
I have used the patch to know the demulshooter code but it doesn't work for me:

Demulshooter.exe -target = globalvr -rom = fearland


Gundam Spirit of Zeon (Taito)
I just don't know how to play two players mode


Teknoparrot games
Let's go island 3d and golden gun work fine for two players if I add -parrotloader to the .bat file

Transformers, let's go jungle, luigis mansion and rambo do not work with -parrotloader code in .bat file.  Two players don't work for me.


Wii games and dolphin emulator
Wii games work fine with one aimtrak but don't work with two aimtrak.
I have created the file wiimoteNew.ini with demulshooter but I don't know how to continue from here.  In games, player 2 acts as player 1.  It is as if there is only one player divided into two pistols.

Well, this is it.  If someone knows how to solve any of these issues, it would be of great help.  Thank you very much!

@Tiberius i tried your Supermodel3 method and strange enough it didn't work for my wiimotes (the mouse worked fine but not the wiimotes), maybe there is something there is missing on my end, i will have to give it a try again.
As for your post on Mame, i can't remember let me check and get back to you.
Thanks for the info on Demul Light Gun shooters, it seems introducing the cursor isn't a simple task, will dig in it deeper.
As for 2spicy it didn't work for me strange enough i had setup the left and right pedal to my left and right d-pad on my wii mote (also in Touchmote) the left stick as the pointer B as Trigger (in touch mote). None of the controls worked. Then in my 2nd attempt i placed the left and right pedal to the keyboards left and right arrow keys (Teknoparrot controller config) and pointing and shooting to wii mote (Touchmote). The left and right pedals worked but the shooting did not. As of typing this message i will try assigning the wiimote controls in Teknoparrot controller config and see if it works (for all other TP light guns games i only assign start button of my wiimote in TP controller config and nothing else).

You already got the answer, Supermodel doen't need DemulShooter and PCSX2 will have to be used along with nuvee plugin.
I can't do anything with PCSX2, for a lot of reason I already explained many times (Unfortunatelly, I know the topic is 60+ pages long and it's easy to miss old information)

I use a Wiimote with dolphin bar in mode 2. With a nunchuch attacced. With it dolphin bar invert keys and the trigger became a reload button and the button on the nunchuch became the trigger. I need to invert it

Finally I fixed yesterday but, in rambo game the trigger button doesn't work. I suppose is a misconfiguration from demulshoter.

I have read the demulshooter wiki again to try to make it work with Dolphin but it did not work. I have got both aimtrak working as if only one exists. In addition, aimtrak # 2 uses the controls of aimtrak # 1. Aimtrak # 1 I set it up weeks ago and it doesn't work with demulshooter.
In the selection of devices I have:
emulated wiimote - DInput / 0 / ATRAK Device # 1
emulated wiimote - DInput / 0 / Keyboard Mouse

Then I use a .bat file with the following code to call DInput / 0 / ATRAK Device # 2

DemulShooter.exe -target = dolphin5 -ddinumber = 3

I send some catch. Thank you very much!

First of all, demulshooter has been awesome at getting my cabinet lightgun games back up and running. I am working on Dolphin now and am not sure I am following the wiki correctly. I am wanting to get 2 wiimotes working in Dolphin using Mode 2 on the dolphinbar. I identified both using the demulconfig and the 2nd wiimote is listed in row 14. I am getting confused when trying to edit the wiimotenew.ini file for the 2nd wiimote. Am I supposed to change the "Atrak Device #2" to the really long device name (the one that starts with \\?\HID#) or something else? Also, what do I list after the device name (I see 'Cursor Y-' for device 1 for example but am not sure what to put for device 2).  When I am in Dolphin and click on configure for Wiimote 2, there are only 2 devices in the drop down, Dinput/0/Keyboard Mouse and my Ultimarc joystick. The Dinput/0/keyboard is the same one I am using for player 1 config. I have a .bat file launching the game and am using the ddinumber=14 (since player 2 wiimote is the 14th in the list). I think I am not understanding what to put in the device name in the wiimotenew.ini file for the 2nd wiimote but would appreciate any help.
Also, player 1 works just fine, I am only having issues getting the 2nd wiimote working. Currently when I start both players, they both control the same cursor.

First off, Thank you very much for creating this magnificent light gun shooting software. I found your software on other forums and has been using it all the time since then. Yes,  I can't say thank you enough and I am so much appreciated your time and effort creating this for the arcade community. Anyone in this planet can use your creation.

Currently, I am using DemulShooter v.10.1.3 on TeknoParrot games with WiiiMote and a Dolphin Bar on mode 2. I just recently had a hand on Luigi's Mansion Arcade (Sega NU 1.1). I noticed the DemulShooter pre-defined control was quite somewhat counter-intuitive to use. Based on your Github Wiki for DemulShooterX64-Usage on Luigi's Mansion ('lma' rom);

Left Click - Trigger
Middle Click -Strobulb
Right Clight - n/a

These setting are not an ideal to setup because;
1. Strobulb is indeed the primary use weapon in the actual game. The primary weapon should use the Left Click (WiiMote 'B' button). Luigi needs to move a cursor around and press a Strobulb to stun a ghost. However, this button was assigned as a Middle Click instead. I used ahk script to map this Middle Click to a D-pad on Wiimote, but it is quite counter-intuitive to use a D-pad as a main weapon instead of the 'B' trigger button (Left Click).
2.The Trigger (Vacuum sucking in the Ghost) button is assigned as the Left Click, it is much better if it is switch around and assigned as the Right Click instead. The game would be really fun this way.
3.I notice there is a missing button used to throw a flashbang (I forgot what it's actually called in the game). This flashbang button is actual the 'Game Start' button. I am not sure if it is possible to remap this as a Middle Click instead.

So, I hope what I described above not too much confuse you with my bad grammar. To summarize, what I suggest to change the assign mapping to be like this;

Left Click - Strobulb
Middle Click - Flashbang
Right Clight - Trigger (Vacuum sucking in the Ghost)

Mode 2 is single mouse emulation right ?
If so, there is no way to change buttons assigments (at least for now). To be able to do so, you'll have use TouchMote (and mode 4 that's right ?)

The game can't be accessed so it's either a problem of admin right or anything else.
Without acceess to the game process, nothing can be done

Then I have to use Game Loader All RH?
Again, the answer is in the Wiki :
If you want to play with the Dual Screen modified exe, you'll have to add the following custom resolution to your computer : 1280x480
If you can't, you'll have to try and rely on GameLoader All RH, knowing that it can mess with DemulShooter

Based on your debug file you are using a couple of aimtraks. There is almost no configuration needed for Aimtraks it should work easily.

Also, what do I list after the device name (I see 'Cursor Y-' for device 1 for example but am not sure what to put for device 2).  When I am in Dolphin and click on configure for Wiimote 2, there are only 2 devices in the drop down, Dinput/0/Keyboard Mouse and my Ultimarc joystick. The Dinput/0/keyboard is the same one I am using for player 1 config. I have a .bat file launching the game and am using the ddinumber=14 (since player 2 wiimote is the 14th in the list). I think I am not understanding what to put in the device name in the wiimotenew.ini file for the 2nd wiimote but would appreciate any help.
Also, player 1 works just fine, I am only having issues getting the 2nd wiimote working. Currently when I start both players, they both control the same cursor.
Dolphin's DemulShooter hack and corresponding Wiki entry was made to use dual Aimtraks.
I don't know how you have to set your WiiMote but Dolphin beeing a Wii Emulator.....I'm pretty sure you don't need any other software to configure WiiMote for it  ;)

First off, Thank you very much for creating this magnificent light gun shooting software. I found your software on other forums and has been using it all the time since then. Yes,  I can't say thank you enough and I am so much appreciated your time and effort creating this for the arcade community. Anyone in this planet can use your creation.

Currently, I am using DemulShooter v.10.1.3 on TeknoParrot games with WiiiMote and a Dolphin Bar on mode 2. I just recently had a hand on Luigi's Mansion Arcade (Sega NU 1.1). I noticed the DemulShooter pre-defined control was quite somewhat counter-intuitive to use. Based on your Github Wiki for DemulShooterX64-Usage on Luigi's Mansion ('lma' rom);

Left Click - Trigger
Middle Click -Strobulb
Right Clight - n/a

These setting are not an ideal to setup because;
1. Strobulb is indeed the primary use weapon in the actual game. The primary weapon should use the Left Click (WiiMote 'B' button). Luigi needs to move a cursor around and press a Strobulb to stun a ghost. However, this button was assigned as a Middle Click instead. I used ahk script to map this Middle Click to a D-pad on Wiimote, but it is quite counter-intuitive to use a D-pad as a main weapon instead of the 'B' trigger button (Left Click).
2.The Trigger (Vacuum sucking in the Ghost) button is assigned as the Left Click, it is much better if it is switch around and assigned as the Right Click instead. The game would be really fun this way.
3.I notice there is a missing button used to throw a flashbang (I forgot what it's actually called in the game). This flashbang button is actual the 'Game Start' button. I am not sure if it is possible to remap this as a Middle Click instead.

So, I hope what I described above not too much confuse you with my bad grammar. To summarize, what I suggest to change the assign mapping to be like this;

Left Click - Strobulb
Middle Click - Flashbang
Right Clight - Trigger (Vacuum sucking in the Ghost)

Okay, so the controls were decided based on the Arcade Cabinet user manual, you can have a look here on SEGA official website
As you'll see at page 15 and 48 (buttons and controller description), Strobulb is in fact a secondary button, the Trigger beiing...well the primary Trigger ;)
The Flahsbang button is indeed the START button, as explained at the page 50.
Emulation is getting things done as close as original material....this is why Trigger is LeftClick(Primary button), Strobulb is middle click (secondary button) and Flashbang is ...well START button.

Now the reason why RightClick is not used is very simple : you have to keep in mind that DemulShooter's core target is Aimtraks/Lightgun and Aimtrak RightClick is obtain by shooting out of the screen. You'll easily understand that you can't use either Trigger or Strobulb on that game without pointing the device at the exact location you want to...

So I'm sorry for any "Hack" WiiMote users have to do to be able to play some games like they would like to, but you have to keep in mind that WiiMote is not a real LighGun and there is a limit to what I can do to make them behave like it in any condition  ;)

If so, there is no way to change buttons assigments (at least for now). To be able to do so, you'll have use TouchMote (and mode 4 that's right ?)

With the Nunchuck attached do you still want B to be trigger and A to be Reload? In which case why attach the nunchuck??

I only ask as I use Z for Trigger and the stick in any direction for Reload, but I do have mine in the Wiigun basic attachment (I do use Touchmote which you deem to be terrible software) but this could be done in mode 2 as well very easily.

What would your preferred buttons layout be? and please don't use Button 1 and Button 2, use the layout I have above so that I don't have to think about which button is which or test it

Hi Guys, I've posted an issue on GitHub I'm wondering if anyone can validate if they have the same experience since migrating to v10 with the Model2 emulator and crosshairs no longer tracking where the gun coordinates are. I would just like to know whether this is environment for my setup (in which case I can look to resolve) or a repeatable issue. Thanks anyone!

I believe the mouse hairs no longer tracking is a bug with model2.  Test this to resolve:

Download model2 again and set it up in a different folder and reconfigure all the games. 

I found that this fixes the cross hairs not tracking.

Thanks, but that made no difference. Exactly the same symptoms were exhibited with afresh build. I tested v8.7 again and that works as expected.

Attached image shows the gunmark check from HOTD using v10. You can see the crosshairs stuck in the top left corner (blue overlapping the red). To reiterate from the GitHub issue, with one crosshair it works on v10, but that crosshair is shared. Enabling two with UseRawInput=1 causes both to fail.

The v10 changelog shows:

- Changed Model2 hack (See DemulShooter WiKi for necessary modifications).

So I can only assume this new issue was recently introduced.

This is still an issue but by setting DrawCross=0 and installing the custom DemulShooter M2 LUA script crosshairs you can achieve dual cross hair support as the wiki suggests. It just means you have to merge your LUA scripts however. Thanks

Have you ever experienced the difference between a mode 2 and a mode 4 dolphinbar? I do it many times.
keeping it in mode 2 I also renounce all the advantages that the boomslangz FFB plugin offers, but the movements in mode4 are really too slow.
you have to spoil me because I have to run a software (touchmote) that is really very unstable, which freezes every 20 minutes, that to make the wiimote work it must install the drivers for the virtual pad of the XBOX360 and that in the end transforms what are the movements of an aerial mouse in analogous movements of a Joystick .... you understand that this is really absurd.

unfortunately even with the new dsdiag Argon he was unable to recognize the movements of the wiimote with the bar in mode4, otherwise we would have had a perfect thing!

I am new to demulshooter. Really appreciate if anyone can advise me. I am trying to setup demulshooter with two mouses.

Thanks for pointing this out, I didn't check native crosshair when I changed Model2 hack as LUA crosshair were already installed.

DemulShooter won't work with regular mice, you need a rawinput compatible device (lightgun, touchscreen, etc...) or a joypad

A directional keypad is not the same thing as an analog joystick, this still won't work with DemulShooter.
As for directly using it with Aliens, the original Aliens dump was released on a VM with the vJoy software installed, to map the mouse to a virtual joystick. You should try that solution (the software, not the dump in the VM) but I never used it so you will have to look for support somewhere else - if you need some

Press the "analog" button.
- The LED between the sticks should light up.
- The two thumbsticks should now behave as analog sticks instead of fullly up/down/left/right. (left stick)
- You can confirm this change in stick behavior in Windows Control Panel -- Devices and Printers -- right click on the icon for your gamepad -- game controller settings -- properties.

Thanks P1! Did not expect to learn something after owning the gamepad for 10 years.

Turns out the experience to play using gamepad is not as fantastic as using a mouse.
I am like to use demulshooter to control the game as I am setting it up for my younger sibling and friend.

May I ask if anyone can share with me how to make it work with demulshooter and two mice with third party software as my place does not really allow me to buy lightguns and wiimote?

As I just told you above, multiple regular mice won't work with DemulShooter. Or with any other software.
So no one will be able to share a working setup....you'll have to stick to a solo gameplay if you want to use your mouse.

When I refer to "regular" I'd say...99,99% of mice you can buy anywhere.
I obviously can't say 100%, because there might be a few exception in the thousands of different models available around the world.

And, if you want a precise and technical answer : you will need a mouse outputing Absolute coordinates (and not Relative, which is a the standard for mice)

Without trying to be unhelpful, rude or argumentative.... What don't you get?
Why it does nothing when you click on it?
The Demulshooter.exe doesn't load up when you click on it. It is all done via command line with specific parameters passed to the exe depending on the emulator and game. Those parameters are explained in the wiki.
How to use it?
You can make individual bat files that launch Demulshooter and pass the correct parameters to it for each game.
You use to be able to make a shortcut to demulshooter.exe and add the parameters to the shortcut instead but I don't know if that method works anymore.
You can make a bat file that launches Demulshooter.exe with the correct parameters and launches the emulator and game.
You can use it through front ends.
Oh and of course you can launch it from command line.
People on here are more than willing to help when and where they can

You have to be in the folder containing Demulshooter.exe or use the full path to the program.
