Hi! I'm testing dolphin emulator, I don't know very much about wii games, I have seen wikipedia's lightgun game list, but many of the interesting games as big buck hunter or gunslingers can't hide game crosshair, I think this is very annoing for playing lightgun games, so do you know wich wii games can really be played as a real lightgun game, without crosshair?

Thanks for pointing out this game, I didn't know about it

I've updated DemulShooter so that it can be played with (1P, turn based 2 Players mode or simultaneous 2P mode are all OK)
I didn't add any "widescreen patch" for this game as I saw a "widescreen/standard" screen format select inside the rom's TEST MODE
Note that, like others Atomiswave game having a dumb "single shoot center screen calibration process" you may have a slight offset between cursor and real shooting - the more you go to the border, the more offset you have - according to your setup (fullscreen, widescreen, etc...)

This is awesome.  It just keeps getting better and better.  Any chance you could work with the Hyperspin developers to where they could add this to the Rocketlauncher setup? I read a forum about it where the developer said he just needs someone more sabby with DemulShooter to help him get it synced with Hyperspin/Rocketlauncher.  That would be freaking awesome.  That way we don't have to go to the CMD to launch a game.  I believe someone already figured it out using the Functions AHK method but it's a bit too complicated for your average Joe (me for example:)).  If not, no worries.  I'm sure they'll figured it out some day.  Thanks Man

Unfortunatelly I don't know anything about Hyperspin/RocketLauncher...so working with/on it would not help anyone

Actually the work has already been done to get it working properly with RL. Check the forums for code if you need it now - it will be included in the next update.

argonlefou - still interesting in trying to help getting this working without explorer.exe. Hoping to be able to post a verbose mode log soon.

I have a strange one.

TS2 was working fine with m2, but wanted to be current on all the versions, so I'm giving Demul a try.
Demul 4.5, Latest m2 1.1a....

Found both aimtracks fine, but but I can only use the first 3/4 of the screen. Meaning the light guns won't go past the 3/4 point on the right side - from left to right. Windows I can use the whole screen, If I use HOTD or VCOP going back without Demul, one player it works fine.

Must be a setting in m2 ini or screen size issue?

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Wow...another mysterious bug !
Everything is normal according to the log....it may indeed be a screen size detection issue.

Any chance you could try demulshooter with another target ? Like Demul or a PC game...
That way I can see if the problem is only with m2emulator, or Demulshooter itself

No, I'm not storing anything in the registry
As a last resort, you can try to replace DemulShooter.exe (make a backup first) with the one I'm joining below, and run it with the -v parameter
It will output a much much bigger logfile. You can post it as an attachment file here and I'll look at it

Yes exactly, for whatever unknown reason the screen resolution I'm getting is different when you play with m2Emulator
I've made changes for you to test, can you try again the same way with the joined .exe and post back your debug file ?
And so that I can read better, are you playing fullscreen and what's your screen resolution ?

Unfortunatelly not at the time....the game actually need and actual Xbox gamepad (or whatever pad emulated to an xbox one with a driver) to be really plugged AND a button to be pressed on it for the game to activate the second player...

The correct command is  :
DemulShooter.exe -target=windows -rom=hod3pc -noautoreload

Any chance of getting Silent Scope on DreamCast (Demul) to work with the light gun (i.e. Aimtrak)?  I know it's only one player still but I'm just curious if it's possible? Would be a fun game to play with the light gun.

Never tried with a Dreamcast game though... Demul is not working from scratch with Silent Scope with a mouse ?

I'm not sure to understand your question  :(
You want to pop-up a MS-DOS command line window so that you can write and execute a command to launch HoD3, while the game is already launched ?

If an emulator does not register the mouse for a specific game, the only way I know is what is used in Demulshooter and TroubleShooter (and others) : read mouse movements, hack into the program's memory, find where to write data and write it in the correct format

I don't think I'll add them in DemulShooter as I'd like to keep it oriented towards Shooting Games, but do you have any list of those game that can be played with a mouse ?

By the way, here's the last 4.5a release with Brave Fire Fighters support for latest Demul 0.7a (demul07a_160818) :
- Left click = Drainage Button
- Right click = Out Of Screen
- Middle click = Fog Stream switch
Didn't find any way to make this game "widescreen" though

Theres a bug in sprtshot    :sports Shoting USA  when player 1 shoots it takes bullets (and mark hits) from player 2 as well, same with player 2 shooting, they take each others bullets and thus points for hitting targets when the other player not even took a shot, can you please take a look into this?

And xtrmhunt    :Extreme Hunting (Demul 0.7a only) *part 1*  does the same shooting takes randomly shots from both players despite what gun you shoot with,     the extreme hunting game part 2 works fine.

I've verified again this morning and I'm not having any issue with these games on my machines.
From what you're telling me, it looks like DemulShooter was not properly hooked to Demul when you had these bugs : controlling both players at the same time with the mouse is what happen when you play 2P mode railshooter game on "raw" Demul

You can verify that every hook is succesfull in the debug text file when you launch demulshooter with the "-v" command
And of course, make sure you are using the latest Demul Release (DEmul v0.7A 180816), it won't work anymore with older 0.7a releases :)

Ok thanks, reinstalling demulshooter did the trick, now the only prob is the mouse pointer wont go away in full screen, i start in full screen and windows mouse pointers are visibly, even try a fresh install of demul, yes latest version, and mouse pointers are there all the time, how i disable them?

Demul acts the same way on my cab (but not with my laptop, it's weird !) : if I check "start in fullscreen", the mouse cursor stays visible. Whereas if I start in windowed mode and ALT+RETURN to switchto fullscreen, the cursor is hidden.

For that, I'm using a small app call "NoMousy" (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=143370.0) to hide and restore mouse cursor
Just add the command in your AutohotKey launcher script or equivalent

Hello, many thanks for thwe project argonlefou,its amazing. Tested demul and m2 by now.
I'm using 2 ps2 lughtguns with ems topgun driver and will make the circuit from Burn to have the flashing working.
My problem is dolphin, I can't see any device in dolphin player2 controls dropdown list, if I let as it is, the p2 buttonswprk but not the coordinates, any advice? Thanks

Well, I have no knowledge with Dolphin's mechanics of control listing
I won't be able to help much if there's no controller in the list :(

Have you tried "supermodel" emulator ? (https://www.supermodel3.com/)
It handles dual light guns with raw input. I've succesfully tested it with model3's Jurrasic Park: The Lost World

I can't get it to work with dolphin, demul model2 and hod3pc woks perfect.
I'm using topgun driver, I think it is the problem as it dont manage guns like joysticks, doesnt it?
Argonleflou, haven't you played Art is Dead yet? don't you think it is worth to try the two player magic?

pls help, so i have to put the supermodel in raw input just for this game? and when i do there is no key that works for coins or start how do you make it work once you are in raw input? no keys work at all,and if i map mouse button for start and coin i struggle because it takes the mouse computer as a gun an acts randomly on this.

Also star wars shooter in same supermodel doesnt respond when try to move left or right, please help

Ive tried remapping another button for strat and coin using mouse buttons for raw mode but then if i have the mouse computer and two guns it takes randomly the mouse mouse computer as a gun and ignores one light gun, this  "emulator" is by far the WORST of all, it sucks, can you please consider making it work on demulshooter  theres only 2 games lost world and star wars, that DEFINITELY would be the best since your program rocks.

Hi alex I think I had the same problem with Supermodel. Your joysticks are also read as rawinput, and remapping joy to key wont work, so you have to know the joystick id.

Hello,

Recently I found your utility DemulShooter and I noticed that it's to use for example Demul with Dual Light gun.

My question is that DemulShooter improves in any way Demul shooter games using a mouse.

I have a lot of problems to play Lupin and Ninja Assault using the mouse in Demul.

I never had any topgun device and never installed any topgun driver...
Making DemulShooter to work with dolphin is kind of a ugly hack and what I need may not work with something else than aimtrak ?...I don't know

Yes I tried it. Game is fun, but at the time I did not work on it mainly because I coul't windowed the game so....couldn't look for coordinates values while playing. Maybe I'll try with a dual screen setup when I have time

Supermodel3 is not the "WORST" of all, it's actually pretty good on it's base. It just lacks a user friendly GUI / configuration tool
It even allows to add and configure a ton of OpenGl shadders/filters, but again, non user-friendly

I do not need to interact with it for any reasons : as I said, Supermodel already natively supports rawinput devices and so natively allow to play with dual mouse/gun/anything

Hello,
As a matter of fact, when you use Demul, any inputs from regular mouse is disabled
So, except if your mouse supports rawinput and is selected as "P1 Device" in demulshooter, the answer would be  no

It really really sucks, i need to disconnect my pc mouse in order to get 2 light assigned,  cant figure it out how to start or put coins once raw input its on, would be great if you ad it to demul shooter, pretty sure more people would thank you for that. can you tell me your config then

When I try to launch Sega Clay Challenge it just says ""wrong size of '608-2161.u3' in romset ..... Expected is 16777216 instead of 16777472." Anyone else experiencing this and if so, did you figure out how to fix it?  Thanks
