OP, just wanted to say thanks so much for these lists. I needed the All Killer, No Filler games in a consolidated, single list, and I wanted it in tabular (spreadsheet/Excel/CSV format) for my project, so I wrote a script to do just that. I'm sharing it here in case anyone else finds it useful: https://github.com/franklesniak/ROMSorter/blob/master/Create-ConsolidatedAllKillerNoFillerGameList.ps1 Please contact me on Github with any follow-ups. I am new to the forums here and unsure how often I'll be signing in. BTW, I have other similar scripts in the above Github repository that I am working on. |

Hey folks, long time no see. Since I have nothing else to do... I'm updating my cabs for the first time in 5+ years. I haven't been here in a while either, so it was nice to see the All Killer No Filler lists. Maybe I'll do a version of these for special controls...? Anyway, for those folks who are starting new and fresh, I've run BadMouth's original _NoFiller.txt batch file against Mame .222 and the only game files to throw errors are crimfght2.zip (replace with crimfghtu.zip) and vendetta2.zip (replace with vendetta2pw.zip or whichever version floats your boat.) All other errors are BIOS/devices related, about 8 instances. Most have just been renamed, and can be tracked easily enough with mameinfo's NEWS.txt. That said, if you're working with these newer versions of MAME, there's a BIOS/device subset out there that will distinctly simplify the process at a minimal 240MB space premium. Just copy that over after you've done NoFiller, and you'll be good to go, especially if you're thinking of adding any other games later in the process (no need to think about dependencies when they're all already there.) |

About 50ishGB. Can I use this list? I thought deleting roms created problems with other roms? I'm not really sure how it works. I'm only interested in sports, fighters, and beat 'em ups, so I'd love to use this list. |

You place the .bat file(s) into your roms folder, click on it (them), the .bat file(s) create a new folder(s) in your rom folder and copy the required roms there. When done, you can make a backup folder, move your 50 gigs of roms into it, then move or copy the roms from the all killer folders into your rom folder. Test the games, if all run correctly, you can delete the backup folder. |

Awesome list, and thanks for compiling these. I do have a question though...I'm a complete Noob and starting from scratch. I understand these were for an older version of Mame, but figured I would download the latest version since I'm starting new. So will this work with 0223? I've tried to follow instructions, but the command lines say they can't find any of the files (see attachment) |
