Hi Tom,

I use Snes9x 1.53 since it has support for both OpenGL and Direct3D instead of old DirectDraw. You can set the low resolutions as well. It was last updated in 2011 so it the latest SNES emulator I know of.

I have also issue with blurry picture on 5450 - looks like odd and even lines are in fact the same lines. Similiar trick I use in amiga 1200 long time ago to reduce flickering. With 4350 on Homura (Taito Type X game) interlacing was clearly visible but on 5450 flickering is very low. In fact every interlaced mode looks like this.

They're not the same lines, if it was that it would look very blocky. Instead, both lines look interpolated by a bilinear filter.

Since ArcadeVGA is now HD5450 can anyone confirm that this blur picture is also on ArcadeVGA? If not then probably there is a way to fix this.

hi,

I'm using the same card as the OP here (HD6850) with two different hardware.
One is flash with ATOM15 because i need to plug it directly to the VGA of an MS2930(blast city),
And the other is not flashed (no need, going trought a jammasd), and hooked to a 18" toshiba (capcom cute).

The desktop resolution (640x48i 60hz) is clean for both setup.
I'm just noticing a slight difference with groovymame refresh rate compared to my old HD4890 (emudriver1).

For example with Street fighter 3.3 switchres is choosing a 59.82hz instead of the original 59.83xxx one (was exact for the HD4890 oldemudriver).
I'm alway have few 10^-2 hz less difference for each games for the refresh rate.

Is it a normal behavior?

Thank's for the information.
If i understand it correctly, the old way was displaying the desired refresh rate and the new way display ( maybe by error) a rounded dotclock value?
Otherwise it was never the actual refresh rate so same difference  ;D
