force 2011 KEY RANGE MISMATCH
« on: February 13, 2016, 04:27:31 pm »
Bought a 2011 key/dvd update for my 2006.5. 2011 Installed fine, rebooted all the way to megatouch force splash screen then KEY RANGE MISMATCH. Searching I see there was a patch for this or is there another way around it. I reinstalled software no go, cleaned key holder bent pin slightly. I put 2006.5 back in and it booted fine.

Ok. When I put it on a usb. It finds update and then says failed to find tarball file and then fails update. Not sure if I'm doing it correctly.

Can you take a pic of the fail screen?

According to an old cached webpage, the .tgz i uploaded is the correct one for 2011 force. Does the software find the update during the boot process? Also, what version 2011 force is on your install disc?

Make sure you format the usb thumb drive with rufus and use fat32 then add that .tgz to the main root of the thumb drive.

Hi just pmed you. On my end I have a update file and a usr file. Not in .tgz form. In total 2 files.

The link i gave you should give you one single .tgz file. You put that file directly onto a fat32 formatted thrumb drive and boot the system with it plugged into a usb port. It should automatically take the update.

Its not a zip file. Its a gzip archived tarball. Just download it as is and put it on a thumb drive.
