Ubuntu build
« on: January 28, 2016, 10:58:22 pm »
Hi,

GroovyArcade seems to be in hibernation so I was going to try a build using Ubuntu but I have a few questions.

1. Will GroovyMame work or does it only support GroovyArcade Arch Linux?
2. Do I need to patch/compile the kernel for 15KHz support?
3. Has anyone done this? Any tips?

Cheers,
Matt

Hi,

1. The Linux 32bit and 64bit will perfectly work with Unbuntu providing that the required library are installed.
2. If you plan to use the 15kHz feature, you have to patch your kernel.
3. There is kernel patch files available from one forum thread, if needed I can provide you a diff against the 4.4 kernel version.
