My first full size Build (Completed)
« on: September 30, 2018, 09:14:17 pm »
I finally started my first full size build. I've had control panel type with a Pandora's Box in it and a barcade. I'm canabalizing the bartop for it's parts. I've spent so long looking for a good slim build that won't take up to my space since the room it's going in is not that big.

Thanks to user BarryMossel for being kind enough to share his plans from his build. Just had to use Sketchup for the measurements.

For the side art I drew some inspiration from user edge29. Always liked that artwork he did and the colors.

Here's the start. So far its' been one full weekend of work and one Sunday but screwed up a cut so had to wait till this weekend when it stopped raining to get a new sheet of MDF. Worked Saturday and Sunday to get most of it done. Still need bezel and marquee.

I don't know who to go with to get side art printed and need to read up how to properly prepare the MDF for the artwork once I get to that point.
Any suggestions on who to go with to print?

Looking great. Can't wait to see it finished (probably before me!).

For art, check https://www.gameongrafix.com/customer-designed I believe they offer quality!

Thanks, i'll look into that. I'm trying to move fast on it to get it in doors. Was going to start to prime next weekend and paint inside parts black between where bezel and control panel will be since there's no art there but my paint gun seems to be on the fritz. Haven't used it in so long and guess I didn't clean it well when I last used it.

Finally got around to put my build together. Artwork finally came in during week and took the day yesterday and finished it off and moved it indoors. Now just need to go buy a stool. :-)

Yes, I plan on doing that down the line. It'll be an easy addition to it. I'm just glad it's finally done and up and running.

Thanks for the compliment. I was a bit afraid of how the art would come out once printed.

Really nice. Love the fact that you totally beat me to it. Still have to finish the last coats of paint and applying the side art.

yeah painting and sanding took a while. You're almost there. Side art goes on quick.
