RIP in piece, John Lenin.  I shall spin Come Together in your honor tonight, comrade.

Here's something to think about..something that I've brought up to friends a few times in recent years.

Right now, there aren't too many bands that have lost all of their original line-up.  (I can think of maybe 2)

It's only a matter of time, and not much now, that there will be no more 'living members' of many classic rock bands....Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, Queen, etc..

The good news is, we can still enjoy the music when they're gone.

It happened a few days ago, but former professional wrestler "Iron" Mike Sharpe passed away. Mostly known from his WWF run in the 80's and 90's, he was billed as Canada's greatest athlete. He finally jobbed to the big man in the sky.

I remember him. He was one of those jobbers like Barry Horowitz or Lanny Poffo (Randy Savage's brother) who you actually knew by name.

For a lot of us, he's one of those people that was always old during our entire lifetime. Somehow, though, I've always known that he was still alive. He made it further than most people.

RIP Abe.

I'm not sure how I missed this one.  Angus Scrimm died on Jan 10th.

I sure hope they don't have to do any re-shoots for Phantasm V.

not EXACTLY a celebrity, but Lex McAllister (a contestant on "the bachelor")  text'd a friend said she wanted to kill herself. upon going and checking in on her she had OD'd. took a bunch of prescription pills.

also

U.S. Supreme Court  Justice Antonin Scalia  was found dead in a texas resort... he had attended a private party at the resort. When he didn't show up to a breakfast the next morning, they sent some employee of the resort to check on him... employee found Scalia's body in his room.

I missed this one, but a few days ago, hardcore, high-flying, Japanese wrestling legend Hayabusa passed away at age 47. Before his injury sidelined (read: paralyzed) him, he was one of the greats.
