Please help me find a gift for my mother.

Every year I try to give my mom something thoughtful, because, well she's my mom.  This year I seem to have found myself in the middle of a wild goose chase.

Mom loves pop tarts.  She literally wakes up by eating one.  Somehow she has the magical ability to constantly get them stuck in the toaster.  So this year I'm looking for a toaster specifically designed for pop tarts or a toaster that has removable sides so she can get them out.  I would really appreciate any help you guys can give me.  I've been to appliance stores, and I've looked online, but the "good" toasters seem to be with extra wide slots (the better to gobble up the tarts) or with the ability to toast 14 slices of bread at once.  I just want a pop tart proof toaster or one with the old fashioned fold down sides.
JDFan:
Perhaps a toaster oven with a toaster slot - that way you have the oven door to open if the pop tart gets stuck or could always just place the pop tarts on the oven shelf for warming rather than use the slot  :dunno

PL1:
Assuming that you've already ruled out a toaster oven, the feature/accessory that you appear to be looking for is a "sandwich basket" or "sandwich rack" like this.

The Kenwood TTM610 comes with one.

Im glad you think about your mom. My mom has been gone for 18 years. She passed on Dec 2 so it is always a bad time for me this time of year. I highly recommend everyone to visit your mom as much as possible, and call her at least a few times a week. Dont let lame excuses to not call or visit stop you because some day you will regret it, trust me.

Anyway, back to the topic.
I like that basket idea, but make sure it has a plastic handle, looks like it may be possible for it to touch the heating element of the toaster and perhaps charge it. (Think why it is a no no to use a metal fork to get something out of the toaster).
I had a waffle iron once that had plates you could change out to use to heat sandwiches or whatever. Wonder how that would work on pop tarts?
Howard_Casto:
Eh my Mom's just 20 min away.  I see her so much I think she gets sick of me sometimes.  ;)

So I think PL1 saved the day on this one.  I couldn't find a sandwich rack that fit on a normal toaster, but I did find these little things:

http://www.amazon.com/Reusable-Non-Stick-Toaster-Bags/dp/B00RHE79UG/ref=sr_1_18?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1450028755&sr=1-18&keywords=toaster+sandwich+rack

It's too cheap a gift, but I think they will work and I'll get her a new toaster without the dead remains of a thousand pop tarts inside.
