MAME in Linux with 15k support
« on: November 27, 2015, 04:51:37 pm »
Hello,

I have a MAME in a real arcade cabinet with an arcade monitor.  I'm currently running Windows XP with it and as I'm sure along with a lot of you, I hate Microsoft OS because they use a ton of system resources.

I'd like to compile MAME for Linux however I was wondering if Ubuntu supports 15k video output?

Anyone who can shed some light on this would be great.

Thanks!

- A. L.

You need at least a patched kernel with 15khz patches and a patched xorg-driver for your card.
I don't think that's available in Ubuntu by default so you have to patch and compile it yourself.
