iso than initrd extract usr cant find local ?

need help if you can. i have disk one, than open isolinux, initrd, extract. than i find usr but no local. after that im lost.

Why are you trying to extract initrd, and for what version?

Also, why are you looking for the /usr/local directory?

If you really want to extract initrd use 7-zip and extract initrd twice. Once initrd~ and then again initrd~~, select yes to all on confirm replace box.

what im trying to do is follow your instructions that you posted back in jan 20 2014 under megatouch announces closure  , page two. im new to  this and just want to learn. i don't know how else to ask the question i want to ask but i think you know what im wanting to do. i just need pointed in the right direction.thanks

Well, im not a mind reader. If you want to patch initrd to install on non official hardware then you need to patch the correct installer for the version you want to install. I am going to assume its 2014 you want to install. The file you are looking for is libinstaller.so in /usr/local/lib

the function that contains the checks is installer::setup

Im not going to sugar coat it for you, and most definitely not publicly. I gave you a good starting point, enjoy.
