Background music not consistent in 1.8.20

I've got a custom theme I'm building but I'm using the option in mala to add mp3 files to the playlist. However the music doesn't always play and it doesn't go to the next song automatically despite having the option checked. The songs play fine when I press the play button under the sound options tab and it will continue to play but only the one song and even one song will not repeat.

Am I supposed to be using playlists instead?

Are you adding the music it in the layout editor or are you doing it under options in Mala.The layout editor can be a little finicky but under options in Mala it should work like a charm. Although I'm not sure about looping though.

I did it through mala under options.

The music seems to only play one track until I play a game and exit and then it only plays one track again.

It's super buggy man. Try changing the track and restarting.
