Why is this guys post any different than the 3,000 before it?  Its a nice control panel and he wants to show everyone.  What's wrong with that?

BAMBOO, I was just asking a straight-up question.  Nothing was meant by it, just wanted to know how to direct my post.  If the OP is looking for constructive feedback, I can give that. If he's looking for some compliments, I can do that also.

Not sure what my post count has to do with anything...

Post count?  I'm saying this thread is no different that this dude posted showing his work is no different than the million before it.  I mean, by all means, give your opinion, I'm sure he is interested in hearing it.  I know I am.

I'm going to pass on both compliments and criticism opt2not. Every person thinks they know design but in reality, very few have a degree in Visual Communications from an accredited university let alone a highly rated school. Have a great day!

Well, if OP wanted for it to be critiqued and revised, it wouldn't already be printed and applied.

That did turn out nice.  I don't care much for the yellow on the original CPO and I like how clean yours looks with the rest of the cabinet.

Do you own a print shop?  You mentioned "we printed everything."

Yes! I own a sign and graphics company and we specialize in arcade graphics. Top of the line 3M vinyl w/ 3M Laminate and high res prints. Let me know if I can do anything for you.

You might want to post a topic in the Retail Vendors sub forum with the services you offer - there's always room for another good source for artwork printing.

Also the cab does look great - Only thing I might change a bit would be resizing/repositioning the one bug on the front panel by the coin door to avoid overlapping the artwork with the coin door.

Thanks, I'll do that. I didn't want to resize and reposition the bug on the kickplate, I wanted to stay true to the original design.

ohh my god! The guy who has a graphics company asked for an art file!

For the record, I never asked for anything for "free". I always compensate anyone who does anything for me.

In his defense, it was more of a reactionary response to multiple types of similar requests.  At the time no one was aware of OP's design school degree and/or printing business.

Op also offered to post his vectored file when complete.  Let's put the pitchforks away for now.  Having another printing option in the community might be a good thing.

I found a Star Castle locally to scan and create vector file. I'll post it when complete.

Glad I wasn't the only one who caught this.
But it sounds like the OP's intentions aren't malicious...so I'll put down the pitchfork, for now. Still, it'll be good for the hobby to have another printing option, especially if the prices are competitive.

not at all. It's real easy to be a dick on forums, it takes courage to be cool. To stand up & go against the group. I respect that honorable choice and I pay it forward.

Maybe someone else will see what happens if they go against the group and form their own opinion,
put away the pitchfork and realize....hey, maybe everyone doesn't have an agenda.....

Gotcha. So giving feedback and opinions is being a dick and uncool, but saying nice things is super cool and gets you free stuff.

WP34 is a respected member. He can easily also say "uncool" stuff and still be liked by many.

No, making a logical argument and going against the group bullying can get you something. Did you not read my comments?

I did. And I think it's sketchy to reward compliments, but that's just me.

I fail to see this "group" ganging up on you that WP34 had the courage to stand up to, but again, that's just me. I already have a ton of respect for wp34 ' s opinion, regardless of what it is, so he doesn't need to show "courage" to me - or anyone else here for that matter.

I wouldn't change the layout of the front artwork as that is how the original cabinets are made.

It doesn't take courage to be cool, it's easy to be cool when you're actually cool. If you have to put in an effort to be cool, you ain't cool. It's the cardinal rule of coolness. wp34 is naturally cool, same with yotsuya.

It's also very easy to assume people have an agenda when your first 2 posts after making an account here is asking for free stuff, then later posting to show your work to promote a business. Tell me how this can't be misconstrued...

Easy now ... don't make me go all tommyquote(tm) on you ... pot, kettle and all that rot.

As for the CPO, I love it -- it's got a Willis vibe to it, only more Willis-y.
