Hey guys, I have been here on and off for years and I thought I would share some Paint knowledge and tools to help you with matching colors and really getting the most out of color for your arcade cabinet projects...
First some background... I have been with Sherwin Williams for over 8 years. I have plenty of experience matching colors and overall paint recommendations (I also have a lot of experiences with wood finishing systems such as lacquer and conversion varnishes). Any questions regarding that kind of stuff please PM me or ask me here on this thread!
I just want to show you guys one free tool we offer online for anyone to play with.
It's called Color Snap.
http://snapyourcolors.com/Here you can upload any picture or pull any URL image and "snap it" and the program will pull the closest Sherwin Williams colors! It's seriously very easy and it works relatively well. I say "relatively" because it puls the
CLOSEST color. I can't guaruntee a perfect match but it will be damn close and it will be a lot closer than you going to the paint store and winging it!
Here are a couple of examples I have done just to show you what I am talking about....
