I was just having a bit of a chat with someone on this topic. Privilege gets to be an issue when he's the breadwinner and roughly 3/4 of the house you pay for with your earnings is "hers". This begs the question of how much poll does one really have when they believe they have the right to deny you, aside from the fact that you're the one running this whole show to begin with. I have to speak for myself, but there isn't a woman on this planet that's gonna tell me what to do or not. The only woman who could, my mother, passed away many, many years ago. I have three kids, the youngest is 18 years old. I've been a dad and family guy for 23 years and now it's time for me to what I want. I'm not asking anyone for permission to exercise my hobby, no matter what the hobby may be! I'm too old for this ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---. I guess when you pass a certain age or certain point in life, you couldn't care less. And I'm there. |
