Starting to vector Rygar art...
« on: October 26, 2015, 07:29:02 am »
After not vectoring any arcade art for a few years, I have decided to get back into it, starting with a project that needed to be done a long time ago, RYGAR.  Might take a few months to complete the entire set, but I am going to give it a try...

Just a quick update cause I have been getting a lot of PM's about RYGAR.  Yes, I will share.  Yes, I am doing all of the art, including the missing side art.  I actually vectored all this in 2010 but my computer crashed and I ended up taking a break from vectoring after.  As for the side art, someone here in the forums took a nice picture of theirs, sent it to me and I was able to trace the arcade flyer, the picture and use parts from the bezel to make the side art from scratch.  So, I have the means to make the complete set but like I said, it will take a few months.  Lets just hope there are no crashes in the immediate future!

Nah, I think you sent me some pics back in 2010 when I vectored RYGAR back then.  ;)

Update:  Doesn't look like much but I am redoing the logo because of some spacing and alignment issues.  I traced the logo back in 2010 using the CPO, which, one would think it would actually fit on the marquee, but it is a little different.  So, like I said, I am retracing the logo from the actual marquee this time around so that everything matches perfectly.  Next update I will post will be when I am about 75% done.

Sadly, I don't have the needed space for another cabinet. It would need to be something smaller, like a bartop, I cannot do a full sized cabinet.

Edit: Compared your WIP marquee to the original I have here, mine is a bit wider and has more stuff at the bottom:

Now thats what I'm talking about.  I told my wife I was building a two car garage.  She said "Really?  You mean a two car man cave without the cars?"  I was like, yes dear, that's what I meant.

@ emphatic, if you can take like four pictures from left to right so the marquee image is more high res. he can definitly use it to redraw and add to missing parts to his version of the marquee. just trying to make his redraw life easier  :D

That sean-o-mac is my old account that I can not access any longer.  So that is actually my post.  That is when my computer took a dump and I lost all of the RYGAR stuff along with everything else.  :(

Dunno if I will every use it, but I should step out of the shadows and say Thank You.

I have Rygar running in a generic bartop and have thought about doing a marquee or topper for it. Now I have the choice.
