My dad was given about 7 jukeboxes but only one works great. He is no longer with us and never had time to mess with them. I know absolutely nothing about them. They are all different models and I would like to fix them. The first one i am working with is the Ri3 jewel it keeps playing the same song over and over although that one has no key so I just order a key so I can open it. Hopefully ordered the right one.
The second one I am working on is the Rowe Ami R85 starlight we plugged it in and it played. Then after unplugging to check  another machine we plugged it back in and now it just loads a 45 over and over.  arm moves over starts to play then puts it back and loads another 45.  It just keeps doing that over and over. Can anyone help?

Hello Gidget01,

Welcome to the forum.

Basically the RI-3 and the R-85 uses the same power supply, boards, there is diffences in the keyboard and the display board but the rest of the boards work in the same fashion (the RI-3 because of its size, can't display 200 titles so they put a diode in the pricing board so you could not select 8 or 9 as a third digit if you remove this diode marked as RI-3 it will play all 200 selections).

If you require testing/repairs on your boards, there are a couple of companies in the USA that people use for there Rowe Ami repairs or you could send them to me in the UK.

Regards
Alan

Alan thank you so much for the info.

Do you know why the R85 would keep loading the 45 over and over qith put playing them? It is continuous doesn't stop and loads a different every time.

Hello Gidget01,

More than likely your CCC is faulty and needs to be sent with the Mechanism Control & Pricing Board to a Rowe Ami specialist for testing/repair.
