Screen Orientation In MaLa

I am running Mame32 on XP and using MaLa as my fe. I can't force Mala to display MAME roms vertically. I've gone into Mame32 and hanged the settings for these ROMS and they work fine when I launch them directly from the emulator but when I try to launch them from MaLa the flip to horizontal.

Here's what I've tried so far:

1) In Mala I've switched to Auto Rotate in Mame Config\Options
2) In Mala I've switched to No Rotate in the Mame.ini editor
3) In Mala I've switch to Rotate Left in the Mame.ini editor

I've even tried switchig the settings in the Mame32.ini file.

Nothing works! And I'm getting really frustrated.

If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.
