I want to build my own arcade controls!
Games Family xxxx has no sound....help....

I have a Games Family xxxx I'm trying to fix for a friend. He bought not working and it had a bad power supply, bought a new ATX and now it boots up and plays but has no sound. If I swap my Games Family in it works.
Can anyone tell me which boards cause the sound issues on these?
I am capable of fixing the boards if I knew but I can't find any board schematics anywhere.
Thanks in advance.

check that sound outputting from the motherboard by plugging in some PC speakers. if not, the motherboard or the software is at fault. if there is sound there, the sound amplifier on the IO board will need to be looked at.
