Hello, I have a XXXX in 1 cab with plenty of roms and would like to use my Aimtrak gun for Terminator 2. Joystick and Trackball works well but when I connect the Aimtrak gun things get crazy (Player1 and Player2 are reversed all of a sudden and so on) On top of it I am unable to configure the lightgun to work with T2. Most of the time I am unable to map it properly and I was never able to get it working in the game to perfrom a calibration. I installed already on my cab the calibration utility and it turned out in windows the lightgun works without any issues, so I am guessing something is wrong with my mame.ini, itīs running on mame 0.145 Hoping somebody can help me to get this works, trying already since days without luck.....tried to set the lightgun to "mouse" or "lightgun" but nothing worked so far. many thanks # # CORE CONFIGURATION OPTIONS # writeconfig 0 # # CORE SEARCH PATH OPTIONS # rompath Rom_bios;Roms hashpath hash samplepath samples artpath artwork ctrlrpath ctrlr inipath .;ini fontpath . cheatpath cheat crosshairpath crosshair # # CORE OUTPUT DIRECTORY OPTIONS # cfg_directory cfg nvram_directory nvram memcard_directory memcard input_directory inp state_directory sta snapshot_directory snap diff_directory diff comment_directory comments hiscore_directory hi # # CORE STATE/PLAYBACK OPTIONS # state autosave 0 playback record mngwrite aviwrite wavwrite snapname %g/%i snapsize auto snapview internal burnin 0 # # CORE PERFORMANCE OPTIONS # autoframeskip 1 frameskip 0 seconds_to_run 0 throttle 1 sleep 0 speed 1.0 refreshspeed 0 # # CORE ROTATION OPTIONS # rotate 1 ror 0 rol 0 autoror 0 autorol 0 flipx 0 flipy 0 # # CORE ARTWORK OPTIONS # artwork_crop 0 use_backdrops 1 use_overlays 1 use_bezels 0 # # CORE SCREEN OPTIONS # brightness 1.0 contrast 1.0 gamma 1.0 pause_brightness 0.65 effect none # # CORE VECTOR OPTIONS # antialias 2 beam 2.1 flicker 0 # # CORE SOUND OPTIONS # sound 1 samplerate 22050 samples 1 volume 0 # # CORE INPUT OPTIONS # coin_lockout 1 ctrlr mouse 1 joystick 1 lightgun 1 multikeyboard 0 multimouse 1 steadykey 0 offscreen_reload 1 joystick_map auto joystick_deadzone 0.3 joystick_saturation 0.85 natural 0 uimodekey auto mouse 1 joystick 1 lightgun 1 dual_lightgun 0 offscreen_reload 0 steadykey 1 keyboard_leds 1 led_mode ps/2 ctrlr Standard stickpoint 0 joyid1 0 joyid2 1 joyid3 2 joyid4 3 joyid5 -1 joyid6 -1 joyid7 -1 joyid8 -1 # # CORE INPUT AUTOMATIC ENABLE OPTIONS # paddle_device joystick adstick_device joystick pedal_device joystick dial_device joystick trackball_device joystick lightgun_device mouse positional_device joystick mouse_device mouse digital j0a0a1,j1a0a1,j2a0a1,j3a0a1 # # CORE DEBUGGING OPTIONS # log 0 verbose 0 update_in_pause 0 debug 0 debugscript debug_internal 0 # # CORE MISC OPTIONS # bios cheat 1 skip_gameinfo 1 uifont default # # CORE MKChamp OPTIONS # disable_hiscore_patch 0 disable_nagscreen_patch 0 disable_loading_patch 0 # # WINDOWS DEBUGGING OPTIONS # oslog 0 watchdog 0 debugger_font "Lucida Console" debugger_font_size 9 # # WINDOWS PERFORMANCE OPTIONS # priority 0 multithreading 0 numprocessors auto profile 0 bench 0 # # WINDOWS VIDEO OPTIONS # video d3d numscreens 1 window 0 maximize 1 keepaspect 1 prescale 1 waitvsync 0 syncrefresh 0 # # DIRECTDRAW-SPECIFIC OPTIONS # hwstretch 1 # # DIRECT3D-SPECIFIC OPTIONS # d3dversion 9 filter 1 # # PER-WINDOW VIDEO OPTIONS # screen auto aspect auto resolution 640x480x16 view auto screen0 auto aspect0 auto resolution0 640x480x16 view0 auto screen1 auto aspect1 auto resolution1 640x480x16 view1 auto screen2 auto aspect2 auto resolution2 640x480x16 view2 auto screen3 auto aspect3 auto resolution3 640x480x16 view3 auto # # FULL SCREEN OPTIONS # triplebuffer 0 switchres 0 full_screen_brightness 1.0 full_screen_contrast 1.0 full_screen_gamma 1.0 # # WINDOWS SOUND OPTIONS # audio_latency 4 audio_sync 0 # # CORE LANGUAGE OPTIONS # language en_US use_lang_list 1 |

Did you read the instructions on setting up MAME games? https://www.ultimarc.com/AimTrak%20Setup%20Guide.pdf |

Hello Yes, I went through this already a couple of times. Regarding the lightgun settings in the . ini I am not sure if they are correct, for example "lightgun" is there available 2 times, need to set both to 1? What about the option "mouse" and "lightgun" ? At this point I was able to correctly map the trigger and bottom for bomb for T2, so shooting is ok. But it just shoots to the upper left corner, the crosshair is not moving, in game calibration doesn't work. Strange is that the mapping worked for the X and Y axis but for some reason not when returning to game, same after restart if the game. thanks for let me know |

Yes of course, believe me I went through the maual a couple of time, line by line, but in the game the cursor doesnīt move. When pressing tab I am able to map the gun, but the entries stays grey. Thanks Chimera Out from the manual: From mamedev.org: The game will automatically ask you to calibrate the guns when you start the game for the first time. Simply put, use your mouse or keyboard to "target" the top left corner when the game asks so. There aren't any visual cues to help this, so you'll have to go by the numerical coordinates that are visible on the screen. The numbers you see are in a simple 8‐bit scale going from 0 to 255. To "target" the top left corner, keep moving your mouse until you get P1 X and P1 Y as near to 0 as possible. The middle is located at about 127, 127, and the bottom right corner as close to 255 as possible. Repeat the process for the second player. |
