It's a cynical view on life, but the fact is, bad stuff WILL happen in your life. Nobody makes it to the end unscathed. And the longer you go without hardship, the more difficult it is to deal with when it happens. I think you have the right attitude in calling it a challenge, because that means you have the ability to overcome it. In the grand scheme of things, the only thing that can't be overcome is death, and eventually we will ALL succumb to that one. There is ALWAYS someone who has it worse off than you (well, other than the one sorry soul who has it worse than anyone - there's always a last place.) Remembering those things can help you get through even the toughest challenges. You didn't just overcome a frustrating situation that was bringing you down, you turned it into a win.
