Vigo:
You wouldn't believe how many people do that kinda stuff. Worst I ever saw was a dude pull up a chair to the buffet bar with his fork and knife and dig in. Manager kicked him out pretty quickly, but still something I never thought I would see. |

I discovered a Chinese buffet in a neighboring town that had crab legs on the buffet on Sundays. The buffet was all you can eat for $12. I had cousins carpooling here from 2 hours away for the $12 all you can eat crab legs. After three or four consecutive weeks of us showing up with a group of 6-10 and eating nothing but crab legs, they stopped putting them out. Another story from a "country buffet": Everyone got the buffet, but a guy that we were traveling with ordered a meal because he wanted it prepared fresh. I watched as the waitress pulled everything for his order off the buffet. :lol |

Worst I've ever seen was two women load up bags full of pizza slices at Cici's. The manager stopped them at the exit and told them they couldn't leave with the food. They went back to their table and ate one bite out of each slice and left the pile. Dozens of slices. Worst stunt I ever pulled was planted in my head by an alumni who heard I was headed to A&M. I lined my empty backpack with a thick plastic bookstore bag and went to the buffet at Double Dave's pizza. Their peproni rolls freeze and reheat exceptionally well. Good to know when you have to store 72 of them. That's the one and only time I did something like that. --- Quote from: BadMouth on August 26, 2015, 01:04:50 pm ---After three or four consecutive weeks of us showing up with a group of 6-10 and eating nothing but crab legs, they stopped putting them out. --- End quote --- Dude, I am impressed. Wow. St. Louis has a section of excellent Chinese restaurants. Which is odd given how bland their regional cuisine is (and fattening, jesus. I crested 300lbs and actually LOST WEIGHT in San Antonio). Anyway, I went to some $15 buffet and the manager brings out his crispy duck and beams with pride as he admires it on the steam table. I lift up the edge of the tray and slide the whole thing onto my plate. I sincerely think that guy was right on the edge of taking a swing at me and he spent the next 20 minutes watching me steadily eat the entire thing. They didn't bring out any more. :D |

EDIT: And to be clear (after checking out Vigo's link), this was not a chain restaurant affiliated with Vigo's company. It was an independent place serving "country" style food. They went out of business a couple years ago. |
