FYI, Barkeeper's friend is the shiznit for stainless. The fridge that came with the house I just bought had several long lines of pretty nasty rust spots. As a renter, I'd scrubbed it with scouring pads and steel wool (never do that). It would look less noticeable for a short time, then the rust would come back. After buying the place, I was more serious about fixing it so I put more effort into researching the issue. Barkeeper's friend contains oxalic acid which neutralizes the rust and allows the stainless surface to heal itself (chromium oxidizing IIRC). I was amazed how easily the fridge cleaned up with it. It's been months and the rust spots have not returned. |

That kit is really nice! I think it's more for car doors, but it would make short work of the ding in the picture. CLR is good for rust as well. Get a plastic scouring pad or aluminum foil, soak the area in CLR and you'd be amazed how well it works. |

It would be easy if I could get at it from behind.. but this is a one piece door filled with foam insulation. The skin is not removable and you can't access the back of it. The bulge on the front of the door from the dent warps the front, and if I push that in it will only make the dent on the side more pronounced. I will just have to live with it. Not a big deal, just sucks. |

lol, nah, it isn't his fault.. ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- happens. if I had been the one trying to lift it up the stairs I might have lost control of it too. Damn thing isn't light. |
