How many SD cards have you bricked?

Yeah, but I'm trying to come up with a more practical use for this Pi2 than craming MAME on it. I already have CoinOps on my old xBox.

Bit late to the party, but have you tried gparted to try rescuing that card?
Download a Linux live CD and give it a go.

I am not sure.if itmworks with SD cards but when you make any bootable USB drive the only way to revert back to the original capacity in windows is with HP Disk Utility, so i would give that a try.

Mine kept locking up up when transferring roms, it was the micro SD card, swapped it out, no more lock ups.
