Just did the desktop, the base was from a motorized lifting desk I got at a used office supply place. Still using it. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,105425.msg1117534/topicseen.html#msg1117534 --- End quote --- pretty cool. I've been searching high and low for a desk that works for both my and my fiance, but it's tough. I've considered building one, but I just don't think I have the time right now but yours came out great. |

my desk at work used to be a door sitting on top of a cocktail cabinet. then we needed the cabinet. I think the boss thought i wasn't going to be here as long as i have been. |

Another possibility is take 2 file cabinets from a used office supply place (or garage sales), face one set of drawers to one side, the other to the opposite side and throw a simple desktop/glass slab/flat door/ sheet of 3/4 mdf on top. I did that at one point and it wasn't the prettiest thing, but it worked fine. |
