Almost a normal TV question...

Lilwolf:
I know that a good way to play arcades in on a SVid, but it sucks on composite.....

well, I'm considering swapping my video card for one with TV out (so we can play dvd's)...

but my TV is composite.  Will it be acceptable output for playing DVD's?   It seems like it should be just fine... but I'm not 100% sure why it wouldn't be ok for arcade games that run 320x200....

thanks :)

bconpc:
There is this cable I'm thinking about getting that is supposed to give you a much better quality picture with composite tv's. This would help me save on a TV but I havenet tried it yet.

Howard_Casto:
depends upon where you'll be sitting....  if your going to get right on top of it like when your playing games then it might be a little fuzzy looking, but in normal use it'll look just fine.

About that cable, I wish someone would try it, I'm just not going to be the guenni pig.  :)

The Manuel:
At least for arcade games.3

I've seen it first hand, especially on game fonts and power meters.

I don't see how a cable can make it better since the signal will be fed to the TV through the composite input anyway and will have to combine the color and luminance (black and white) signal by itself.  That's where the loss lies.

Good luck.

Carsten Carlos:
I wouldn't give a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- on this cable, but maybe I'm wrong.

Forgive me, but it seems to me that especially in the US they try to sell you everything regardless if its absolutely trash or not! :o Well, maybe this is just my thoughts 'cause I always get these spam where they want you to buy some pills for extraordinary length and such weird stuff. ;D
