Best way to mount a Vertical VGA monitor?

I have the original brace that the arcade monitor went into but I really dont want to open the monitor if I dont have to. I guess I could take the case off and mount it to the brace but is there an easier way..? Maybe 2x4's ?  Pictures would help...thanks
