I'm a bit worried about the design being "too much" (especially the control panel), but I'm not sure.  ???  I'm also curious if I've done anything horrible that I'm not aware of (e.g., that won't show up well in print).

More info for anyone curious:

I was inspired by this shirt: http://fashionablygeek.com/t-shirts/mega-man-and-protoman-paint-splatter-shirts/
(although I obviously had to draw everything myself to get it at the necessary resolution).

And, it took a LONG time to settle on this design.  Here's an album of my many failed attempts that I just couldn't get to work:

I'm taking it from the lack of other feedback that everyone agrees with you.

I'd refer to it as the Jackson Pollock factor, but I agree that unless you really like the splatter you should at least consider removing it or toning it down.   :dunno

Either way, you are the one who has to live with it -- and any rude observations/comments like SNAAKE's from your guests.   ::)

  • Do what you love!
Im assuming the splatter was used to counter the empty space, perhaps you can try using lines (circuit board). Just a thought.

Yeah, as I posted above, the whole design was inspired by the megaman splatter T-shirt - so I always intended on using splatter (although I figured out the specifics as I went along).

You're completely right - I designed the control panel without splatter and the empty space needed to be filled by SOMETHING.  Given that I have the overall splatter theme... I went with that.

Combining the feedback (even the "jizz" comments  ::)) - I've reduced the splatter and used a sunburst to fill the empty area.  It's not final, but I think it's looking better.

Hi like your control panel, do you have any diagrams you could share?
