Dreamcast Mini Twin Stick

Grasshopper:
I'm wondering whether anyone here owns one of these:

It seems very cheap for a two player panel. Shame about the colour scheme though!

It occurs to me that even if the buttons and joysticks are of poor quality, you could still make use of the encoder in a home built control panel.

Is there anywhere that still sells the full size Twin Stick?

Thanks in advance

TalkingOctopus:
I have not tried that controller. However, if you want to use a dreamcast with home built controls, just use normal controllers for the encoder.  Although you could use that joy as an encoder, the normal ones are allready documented.  Check it out here:

Cave:
This look like the blaze twin shock i used to have for my psx, they are incredibly poor qualitysticks, i ended up using it as two encoders because these are possibly the easiest controlls to hack because the wires can simply be cut from the joysticks and buttons and connected to anything else, theres also large solder joints on the pcb itself.

I was thinking the same thing.  Its probalby a super easy hack... and about that.

I was hoping I might be able to take those sweet looking joystick and buttons and put them on my standup... because getting a light pink buttons are just too damn hard  ;D

Cave:
If they are like the blaze ones, the buttons are made for a 3 or 4 mm surface and just click into place, there is no thread on them and the solder joints on the bottom pass thru the pcb. If anyone is thinking of making a mini cab or need a super slim depth panel these could work out nicely.
